Vol. 287 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Wicklow Garda Strength.

158.

asked the Minister for Justice the Garda strength at Greystones, County Wicklow; and his plans to augment the local force.

Present Garda strength at Greystones station is one sergeant and six gardaí. The commissioner informs me that he considers that this strength is reasonably adequate for the current needs of the area, having regard to other demands on Garda resources, and there are not proposals to increase the strength of the station party in the immediate future. An extra garda will be assigned to the station if and when the Garda authorities consider it necessary.
