Bulk milk tanks purchased after 1st February, 1974, would be eligible for grant and subject to compliance with the conditions of the farm modernisation scheme. These conditions would require, inter alia, that the bulk tank was provided for in the applicant's farm plan and that he had obtained the Department's prior approval for its installation. In the absence of details of individual cases it would not be possible to indicate the reasons why any application in respect of a bulk tank was deemed to be ineligible for grant.
Are we to take it that nobody was turned down?
I cannot give the answer to that, but if the Deputy knows of anybody that was turned down for reasons for which they should not have been turned down, he should let me know.
