Vol. 288 No. 1

Written Answers. - Horse Flesh Sales.

84.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is satisfied that the provision of the Sale of Horse Flesh (Regulation) Act, 1889 whereby a notice to the effect that horse flesh is for sale must be prominently displayed at all times is in fact being complied with.

The Sale of Horse Flesh Regulation Act, 1889 is administered by the local authorities. I am not aware of any case in which the requirements of the Act are not being complied with but if the Deputy has such information he should bring the matter to the attention of the local authority concerned.
