Vol. 288 No. 7

Written Answers. - Offaly Schools.

51.

asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange to make the lunch room at Clonmacnoise national school, County Offaly, available to the children at all times, as the children have no place to go when it is raining.

This is a matter for the board of management who are charged with the direct government of the school.

52.

asked the Minister for Education if his Department will arrange to have a prefab erected at Shannonbridge national school, County Offaly, where the classrooms (details supplied) are over-crowded and enrolment of new pupils has been curtailed.

I would refer to my reply of 15th May, 1975, to a previous question on the subject from the Deputy. It is understood that it has not been possible to obtain an extension of the existing site and in the circumstances my Department, in consultation with the board of management, are examining further how best to provide for the accommodation needs of the pupils.
