Vol. 288 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo River Drainage.

41.

asked the Minister for Finance the priority that drainage of the Brown Oak river, Newport, County Mayo, has on the list of arterial drainage being considered by his Department; and if he will indicate when work will commence.

It is not possible to forecast when the Newport catchment, of which the Brown Oak river forms a part, may be reached in the national arterial drainage programme of the Commissioners of Public Works. This catchment is not included in the settled priority lists which have been upheld by successive Governments.
