Vol. 289 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dental Services Funds.

3.

asked the Minister for Health whether there has been a cut-back in the funds being made available to the health boards for dental services; and, if so, whether he is aware of the long-term damage such cuts will do.

The financial allocations to health boards for 1976 have been increased by an average of 13 per cent over the provision made for 1975. While health boards have not yet informed me of the proportion of their increased allocations which they propose to spend on dental services, I have no reason to believe that funds available for dental services will be cut back in any health board area as compared with last year.
