I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the vehicle was seized on 3rd February, 1976, on the grounds that it had been illegally imported and was, therefore, subject to forfeiture under the Customs Acts. On 4th March, 1976, the firm from which it was seized was informed in writing of the terms on which the vehicle would be released. The offer has so far not been accepted. The Revenue Commissioners were awaiting a reply to the offer before replying to representations.
