Vol. 289 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Galway Schools.

137.

Mr. Kitt

asked the Minister for Education the proposals he has for the future development of Garbally National School and Ballinruane National School, County Galway.

As I indicated in reply to a question from the Deputy on 18th December, 1975, I agree to the continuance of these two schools for a further period, as it was represented to me that enrolments would substantially increase and there was not agreement locally on the amalgamation of the two schools. My decision to continue the schools was subject to the condittion that the schools buildings be kept in suitable repair without the aid of State grants.
