Vol. 290 No. 1

Written Answers. - Bent Grass.

72.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider having bent grass planted on the sandhills at Ballyheigue and Banna, County Kerry.

Generally speaking the Commissioners of Public Works have no responsibility with regard to the condition of sandhills; however in the case of a specific area where a local authority would wish the commissioners to proceed with a scheme under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, protective grasses would be among the remedial measures to be considered.
