asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange to maintain after Easter the national school bus service (Route 8C) to Portlaoise national schools, serving the Clonreher, Pallas, Rossleighan areas, despite the proposal to discontinue it, in view of the fact that there are now sufficient children to justify the service.

The question as to the number of eligible children available in the area is under examination and in the circumstances it has been decided to continue the service in operation until the summer vacation.
