Vol. 290 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport.

51.

andMr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education if he will sanction the proposal for the provision of a school bus service to Inagh national school, County Clare.

Application for the provision of a transport service from the Fermoyle district to Inagh national school has been made on a number of occasions over the past three years but a sufficient number of eligible childern was not available to warrant the provision of a service.

It is understood that some months ago a new family moved into the Fermoyle district with the result that there is now the requisite number of eligible children to warrant the establishment of a school transport service. I have accordingly sanctioned a transport service from the Fermoyle district to Inagh national school and expect that Córas Iompair Éireann will be in a position to make the necessary arrangements at an early date.
