asked the Minister for Lands why a person (details supplied) in County Offaly who was employed with the forestry division in Kinnitty from 1935 to 1968 was not granted a pension.

Cavan): The pension scheme for non-established State employees, including forest workers, came into operation on 1st January, 1970. As the person named retired prior to that date he was not eligible for the benefits of the scheme.
