Vol. 290 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Pier.

28.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if money has actually been provided for the extensions to Caherciveen pier, County Kerry; and, if so, when he expects work to start there.

I understand that the examination by the Office of Public Works of tenders for the improvement of landing facilities at Caherciveen has been completed. The approval of the Minister for Finance for the making of a State grant and the agreement of the Kerry County Council to make a contribution towards the cost must be obtained before money can be allocated for the scheme from the Fisheries Vote.
