Vol. 291 No. 10

Written Answers. - Dublin Insured Worker.

35.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why an insured worker in Dublin (details supplied) has been denied unemployment benefit; and if he will indicate when the position will be rectified.

A deciding officer decided that the person concerned, who made a claim for unemployment benefit on 21st May, 1976, was disqualified for the receipt of benefit for a period of six weeks from 20th May, 1976, on the ground that he had lost his employment through his own conduct. He has appealed against the deciding officer's decision and arrangements are being made for an appeal hearing, at which it will be open to him to attend and give evidence on his own behalf, as soon as possible.
