asked the Minister for Finance when work will be completed on each of the following new schools and the exact date on which work was due to be completed in accordance with the contract in each case: (1) Mercy Convent, Killarney; (2) Ballycasheen, Killarney.

In the case of each of these schools the contract for erection was placed by the chairman of the board of management.
The Commissioners of Public Works have been informed that the contract date for completion of the Mercy Convent school is 9th July, 1976, and that the works are expected to be completed by the end of August, 1976.
They have also been informed that the contract date for completion of Ballycasheen school is 1st July, 1977, and that so far as can be seen at this stage the works are expected to be virtually completed by that date.
