Vol. 291 No. 14

Written Answers. - GAA Pitches.

143.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have made decisions regarding requests from Clare County Board of the GAA for pitches in Land Commission lands in respect of the following clubs: (1) Killanena (2) Crusheen (3) Kilmaley (4) Shannon Gaels and (5) Kilnamona.

, (Cavan): I understand that the Land Commission hope to make a decision shortly on the request for a playing pitch for the Killanena GAA club but that decisions in regard to the other applications are not expected to be made sooner than next year. Meanwhile, however, the Deputy might like to know that a plot of four acres has been let to the Crusheen hurling club on the Heavey estate in that area and a plot of seven acres has similarly been let to the Kilmaley hurling club on the Frost estate.
