Vol. 291 No. 15

Written Answers. - Donegal Town School Needs.

72.

asked the Minister for Education if in view of the urgent need for a suitable post-primary school in Donegal town, he will give the reasons for the delay in dealing with this matter and indicate the present position in relation to it.

A schedule of accommodation for the new post primary school in Donegal town has been agreed with the vocational education committee and an outline sketch-plan of the new building is awaited from the committee's consultants. The remaining steps in the planning process will be completed as quickly as possible, with a view to having work on the new school commenced without avoidable delay. Pending the completion of the sale of the site for the new school, it was not possible to advance the planning process.
