I have been informed by the IDA that the amount of timber likely to be available in the Glenfarne area up to 1981 would not support the likely requirements of a project other than sawmilling. There are already three sawmills in the area and the establishment of a further mill would aggravate the supply situation for these firms. A grant for an expansion for one of these was approved last year.
