The Louth County Council, who own and are responsible for the pier at Clogherhead, have approached my Department for a grant towards extensive repairs to the pier. I am awaiting their final detailed plans setting out firm proposals with a realistic estimate of costs and until I receive this information I cannot say what works may be subsidised by my Department or when they will commence.
