Under the Waterford City Management Act, 1939, the initiation of action for the extension of the boundary of Waterford County Borough is a matter for Waterford Corporation. There is no proposal before my Department for an extension of the boundary. In view of my statutory functions in the matter, it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the necessity for an extension.
