Vol. 294 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Constitutional Changes.

1.

asked the Taoiseach if the Government have decided on possible changes in the Constitution; and, if so, when they will be put before the people.

It is intended that proposals for amendments of the Constitution in relation to adoption and bail will be introduced. The Taoiseach is not yet in a position to say when they will be brought before the House.

Is there any truth in the suggestion that the referendum might be held on the date of the general election?

I have nothing to add.
