Consideration is at present being given, in conjunction with reorganisation proposals, to the question of having one of the Kilmaine school buildings extended and improved to accommodate all the pupils concerned.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position in relation to the provision of new vocational schools at Achill, Belmullet and Castlebar, County Mayo.
Planning for the provision of new vocational schools at Achill, Belmullet and Castlebar to replace existing buildings has commenced. Preliminary plans for Achill and Belmullet have been discussed with representatives of the County Mayo Vocational Education Committee and revised proposals are awaited. A preliminary plan for the Castlebar school has not yet been submitted by the committee.
