Since 31st March, 1973, I have been abroad on Government business on 13 occasions. No journeys abroad have been made by my Parliamentary Secretary on Government business. Details of my journeys abroad are set out in a statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report:

In three previous Parliamentary replies on 20th February, 1974, 7th November, 1974, and 28th October, 1975, I circulated with the Official Report, a statement setting out the date, destination, purpose and cost of trips which I made abroad since 15th March, 1973. I will circulate with the Official Report the details for the period since that covered by the last reply up to 16th November, 1976, along with similar details for my Parliamentary Secretary.

The overall cost of my visits abroad since March, 1973, is £22,557.57. The overall cost of visits abroad by my Parliamentary Secretary is £1,455.70. The total cost for my visits abroad and those of my Parliamentary Secretary is £24,033.27.
