Vol. 296 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Rover Import.

5.

asked the Minister for Finance why a person from Strabane, County Tyrone (details supplied) is refused temporary importation of his land rover into Donegal.

The benefit of temporary importation of private cars, including land rovers, without payment of duty is restricted by law to persons who have their only or principal place of residence outside the State. As the person named has not the necessary residential qualification temporary importation of the vehicle is not permissible.
