Vol. 296 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Transport.

106.

Mr. R. Burke

asked the Minister for Education if he will examine the treatment being received by the children of a family (details supplied) in County Dublin in regard to school transport and arrange to have the matter rectified.

The children involved reside less than two miles from Kilcoskin national school which is their nearest school and they are not, therefore, basically eligible for free transport. In the circumstances it would not be open to the Department to allow transport, either free or fare-paying, to St. Margaret's national school, the school they are attending.
