Notes:

1. The figures given for County Galway include Ballinasloe Urban District.

2. The figures shown for 1973-74, and 1974 are for the financial year ended 31st March 1974, and the nine-month transitional financial period ended 31st December 1974 respectively. In subsequent years the financial year coincides with the calendar year.

3. The figures shown in the table represent issues from the Local Loans Fund for local authority housing in each year. Capital allocations for local authority housing construction have not yet been made for 1977. Initial allocations, to cover ongoing commitments, will be notified to housing authorities shortly. Additional allocations for new works will be notified within the next month.

4. In addition to the amounts shown for 1975, housing authorities generally were provided with special subsidisable overdraft facilities totalling £4 million. Galway County Council's share in this additional spending facility was £162,000.

5. Galway Corporation were notified of an allocation of £500,000 for local authority housing construction in 1974 —nine-month period. However, because it had accrued a substantial credit balance from 1973-74, the Corporation did not make any draws from the Local Loans Fund on foot of the allocation during the nine-month financial period in 1974.
