asked the Minister for Justice the rise in the crime rate in south Tipperary for each of the years 1974, 1975 and 1976; and the rise in each of the following towns: Tipperary, Cahir, Cashel, Clonmel and Carrick-on-Suir.

The following are particulars of the number of indictable crimes reported or known to the Garda during each of the years 1973 to 1976 in respect of the areas referred to in the question:
