Written Answers. - County Dublin Sewerage Schemes.

Mr. R. Burke

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give immediate sanction for the Swords sewerage treatment works scheme, County Dublin.

I recently sanctioned the preliminary proposals which the local authority submitted for this scheme in December, 1976.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give immediate sanction for the loan for Donabate sewerage scheme, County Dublin which is with his Department for 18 months.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give immediate sanction for the loan for Garristown sewerage scheme, County Dublin which is with his Department for over two years.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give immediate sanction for the loan for Ballyboughal sewerage scheme, County Dublin which is with his Department for over two years.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 84, 85 and 86 together.

In view of the high proportion of the total capital available for sanitary services which is being absorbed by priority schemes in the Dublin area, I am not yet in a position to convey sanction to the council's proposals for the financing of these sewerage schemes.
