Vol. 297 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Premises.

15.

andMr. Blaney asked the Minister for Labour why AnCO are not proceeding with the proposal to lease premises in Letterkenny. County Donegal.

The training authority are awaiting a consultancy report they commissioned regarding training facilities appropriate to each region in the country. A decision on the training facilities required in County Donegal and the best location for such facilities will not be decided until the report is available and examined.

When I requested AnCO to provide a training centre for the Inishowen area they told me they were leasing premises in Letterkenny which would service the Innishowen area. What happened the centre, or what happened the plans to lease these premises in Letterkenny? That question has not been answered. If that service is not going ahead and if a survey is being made, will the Minister see to it that the Inishowen area will not be neglected?

I can reassure the Deputy about that. The training authority have this report which must be studied by them before they come to a decision in relation to Donegal in general.
