asked the Minister for Finance if an ordnance survey is at present in progress in County Clare; the nature of the survey; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Ordnance Survey is at present engaged in the mapping of parts of County Clare. The area being surveyed is concentrated in the southern half of the county and includes the towns of Ennis, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Kilrush and the Shannon Industrial Development Area. This mapping is part of the overall national mapping programme which is currently proceeding.
