asked the Minister for Education if his Department will approve the cost plan for the extension of Borrisokane vocational school, County Tipperary, in view of the urgent need for adequate accommodation for the increasing school population in Borrisokane and the surrounding area.

The outline plan of the extension to Borrisokane vocational school has recently been approved by my Department.

Authorisation to proceed with the next stage of planning, namely, the preparation of a developed sketch-scheme and a cost plan, is being conveyed to the vocational education committee.

asked the Minister for Education if his Department will give approval for the accommodation scheduled for the new vocational school in Thurles, County Tipperary, in view of the urgent need in Thurles and the surrounding area.

The vocational education committee recently suggested certain amendments to the schedule of accommodation proposed for the new vocational school at Thurles. A revised schedule of accommodation incorporating the suggested amendments is being sent to the committee for consideration.
