I am not clear what the Deputy means by "rationalise". If he means to take steps such as to reduce the number of insurance companies, to bring about amalgamation between them, to promote various kinds of specialisation or market sharing between them, I have received no proposals to this effect either from the committee which reported last year on the insurance industry or from any other source.
