asked the Minister for Labour if he will expedite redundancy payments in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

An application from the person in question for a lump sum payment from the Redundancy Fund has been received and I am arranging for the application to be given urgent consideration. I understand that redundancy weekly payments are already being paid to him.

83.

asked the Minister for Labour the total amount of redundancy payments, including lump sum and weekly payments, made in the Cork area in each of the years 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976.

The total amounts of redundancy payments made in the Cork area out of the Redundancy Fund in the years in question are estimated as follows: 1973, £218,450; 1974, £327,762; 1975, £979,180; 1976, £1,306,143.
