Vol. 299 No. 3

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

73.

asked the Minister for Local Government when work will start on the Bawnboy sewerage scheme, County Cavan, documents for which are in his Department.

Contract documents for this scheme were submitted to my Department in December but having regard to the high estimated cost per house and the need to conserve capital for the schemes of highest priority, I cannot say when the work might be commenced.

74.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the proposed Brock/Ballintemple group water scheme, County Galway.

This scheme is known as Killeen/Brucky and will get its water supply by way of an extension from the Carnmore No. 2 group scheme.

Work on the latter scheme should, I understand, commence in June. When work has commenced my Department will allocate grants for the Killeen/ Brucky scheme.
