10.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of Garda stations in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area; and the number of Garda personnel in each station.

12.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of Garda Síochána per head of population in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown constituency of County Dublin.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 8, 10 and 12 together.

Except for a very small area which is served by Stepaside station, the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown constituency is served by six Garda stations, viz., Dún Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dalkey, Kill O' the Grange, Cabinteely and Shankill. The strength of each station for each of the years since 1970 is set out in a tabular statement, which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report. The ratio of gardaí to population in the area works out at one member of the force per 832 people.

Following is the statement:

Garda strength (including personnel on temporary transfer elsewhere) in each station in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area.

Note: numbers on temporary transfer on the dates referred to are shown in brackets.
