Vol. 299 No. 8

Written Answers. - Clare Teacher's Superannuation.

62.

asked the Minister for Education why superannuation has not been paid to a person (name supplied) in County Clare who is a retired national school teacher.

I would refer the Deputy to a reply to a question on this subject on 15th February, 1977.

There are unusual circumstances in this case which require that it be specially considered in relation to the terms of the national school teachers' superannuation schemes, which are statutory.

I am hopeful that the issue of this applicant's eligibility for a superannuation award will be brought to decision shortly.
