Vol. 300 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Personal Cabinet.

12.

asked the Minister for the Public Service if he is in favour of each Government Minister having a personal cabinet; if so, the proposals he has with regard to the establishment of such a facility for each Minister; and if he will give an assurance that the establishment of such a position will only be done in consultation with the civil service trade unions.

The Government have not considered the question of providing a personal cabinet for each Minister. The other parts of the question do not therefore, arise.

Could the Minister tell me if, to date, advisers have been appointed by any Cabinet Minister?

Some have.

Could details of these appointments be furnished at some stage?

If a question is put down, of course the details can be furnished.
