asked the Taoiseach the operative date of the Chaff-Cutting Machines (Accidents) Act, 1897; if it is administered by his Department; and if not, the Department to which the administration of this Act has been assigned.

The Chaff-Cutting Machines (Accidents) Act, 1897, came into operation on the 1st day of August, 1898; it does not assign the administration of the Act to any Department and it is not administered, as such, by any Department. Any offence under the Act may be dealt with by the normal prosecution procedures.
