Vol. 301 No. 1

Written Answers. - Acceptance of Gifts.

405.

asked the Taoiseach the guidelines or rules he has laid down regarding the acceptance of gifts by Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.

I have not laid down guidelines in this respect as I have every confidence that a Minister or a Parliamentary Secretary would use discretion in accepting a gift, if it is offered, which would be regarded as appropriate to an occasion such as a formal opening, or the like, at which the Minister or Parliamentary Secretary is officiating.
