asked the Minister for Finance the rate of interest, the annual loan charge, and the repayment period applicable to certain repayable advances from Central and Capital Funds appearing to have been advanced to Bord na Móna (a) 31/3/60 —£1.373 million, (b) 31/3/66—£1.838 million, (c) 31/3/62—£1.800 million, (d) 31/3/63—£1.400 million, (e) 31/3/64—£1.454 million, (f) 31/3/65 —£1.490 million, (g) 31/3/66—£2.426 million, and (h) 31/3/77—£3.700 million.

asked the Minister for Finance the years in which loans amounting to £850,000in toto were advanced to Bord na Móna; the rate of interest on each loan; the annual loan charge; the loan period; and the final repayment date.

There was no financial year in which advances from the Exchequer to Bord na Móna totalled £850,000.

324.

asked the Minister for Finance if Bord na Móna submitted proposals to his Department in connection with the proposed use of £5.9 million of advances or guaranteed loans in 1966-67; and, if so, the development and other works noted in the approval.

Bord na Móna are not under the aegis of my Department and, accordingly, do not submit to my Department their proposals for development and other works.
