Vol. 302 No. 5

Written Answers. - Secondary Teachers.

294.

asked the Minister for Education the number of registered (a) lay and (b) religious secondary teachers who are in receipt of both special functions allowances and remuneration for posts of responsibility.

There are no teachers, either lay or religious, in recognised secondary schools who are in receipt of both a special functions allowance and an allowance in respect of a post of responsibility.

A holder of a post of responsibility who has been in receipt of a special functions allowance is paid either the allowance appropriate to the post of responsibility or an amount equivalent to the value of the special functions allowance, whichever is the greater.
