I have allocated additional funds for dental services in the current year. The estimated expenditure on dental services in 1977 is £3,972,000. The allocation for 1978 amounts to £4,245,000. The Deputy will appreciate that difficulties exist in recruiting sufficient dentists to ensure that dental services would be available on demand to all eligible persons in 1978.
