Vol. 305 No. 2

Written Answers. - Arrest of Irish Citizens.

456.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of Irish citizens arrested at ports of entry in Ireland, following exclusion from the UK, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

As far as the Garda authorities are aware, the answer is nil. However, I should explain that statistics in relation to arrests are not compiled so as to show the information requested and the answer is based on a check made by the Garda of their records in so far as it has been practicable for them to do so.
