Vol. 305 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Phoenix Park Hospital Post.

22.

asked the Minister for Health why his Department have not sanctioned particulars of office for the post of matron at St. Mary's Hospital, Phoenix Park, Dublin; and if he will have the post advertised in accordance with normal practice.

It is necessary to reconsider the salary scale for the post of matron, St. Mary's Hospital, Phoenix Park, Dublin, as the number of hospital beds and the type of patient catered for have changed since the date of the last appointment. The matter will be discussed by my Department with the appropriate staff organisation within the next week.

The Deputy may rest assured that there will be no delay in advertising the post when agreement has been reached with the staff organisation on the level of remuneration.

Questions Nos. 23 to 26, inclusive, postponed.
