With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 16 and 17 together. The total estimated cost to the Exchequer, for a full year, of increasing children's allowances by 10 per cent is £5,200,000.
Would the Minister be in a position to state when there was last a budget in which the social welfare allowances were not increased?
