In February this year I made the Oyster Fishery (Clarinbridge) Order, 1978 relating to this matter. The effect of the order, which came into operation on 6 March 1978, is to grant to Clarinbridge Oyster Co-operative Society Limited the right to manage and develop the existing public oyster beds in Galway Bay, subject to certain conditions.
