Vol. 305 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Postal Deliveries.

24.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if his Department intend to abolish Saturday postal deliveries in County Dublin; and if so, why.

(Dublin South-Central): Saturday postal deliveries in County Dublin were abolished with effect on and from Saturday, 8 April. This results from a settlement reached on a staff claim for a five-day, Monday to Friday, week for postmen throughout the country, as obtains in Dublin city and Dún Laoghaire.

Can the Minister say if he received any complaints from members of the general public in County Dublin because of this decrease in service?

(Dublin South-Central): No.

No complaints whatever?

(Dublin South-Central): No.
