Vol. 305 No. 6

Written Answers. - Meath Farms Allocation.

449.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the Land Commission propose to allocate the following farms in County Meath (1) the Crawley farm, Gravelstown, Carlanstown, Kells; (2) the McMahon farm, Gravelstown, Carlanstown, Kells; (3) the Murtagh farm, Gravelstown, Carlanstown, Kells; and (4) the Hand farm, Danesrath, Carlanstown, Kells, County Meath.

It is expected that the McMahon and Hand estates will be allocated this year. I understand that composite resale proposals are envisaged for the Crawley estate and two other properties acquired by the Land Commission in the same locality. It is not possible, however, to indicate at this stage when the lands—aggregating 442 acres—will be allotted as possession of one of the estates involved has not yet passed to the Land Commission.

It has not been found possible from the particulars supplied to identify the Murtagh estate referred to. If the Deputy can furnish more detailed information regarding the property I will arrange to have further inquries made in the matter.
