asked the Minister for the Environment why consent has not been given in respect of Ballybrien group water scheme, County Offaly, to lay pipes in the following areas: Ballybritten. Ballybrien, Ballyheushill, Clonmore, Killowen, and Ballyburby, County Offaly, since 95 per cent of total contributions have been collected and lodged in the Bank of Ireland, Edenderry, County Offaly.

My Department have allocated State grants totalling £31,440 for the Ballybrien group water scheme. Work may commence at any time once the group obtain a road opening licence and arrange the necessary insurances.
