Vol. 306 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postal Deliveries.

15.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of complaints from the people living in Ballincollig, County Cork, regarding the late and irregular delivery of post in the Ballincollig area.

(Dublin South-Central): I assume the Deputy is referring to two short periods which occurred recently during absences of the two regular postmen when delivery arrangements were disrupted. There is difficulty in obtaining suitable substitutes, and the special arrangements introduced resulted unavoidably in late deliveries during those periods. The normal standard of service has since been restored.
